Good to get through your first year
I like that the apartment is close to campus. It was important that I was able to use the bus system to get to campus. I'm thinking about moving next year primarily because I'll be all virtual for the spring semester, but here are some other things to consider:
a lot of people have pets here
there's a cat that sort of lurks in the parking lot and sort of "guards" the property - I don't really like cats so that's been an issue for me
you have to pay for all your utilities + Internet and anything else you might want
I was able to get a washing/dryer in my unit which was necessary. I don't really like how the community washer/dryer looks...
there are a couple of noisy neighbors, but nothing unbearable
it's conveniently close to HEB on Red River and a short distance from Capital Plaza, Barbara Jordan and the Triangle - you're never out of options for food!
I like the apartment, and it's great if being close to school is important to you! The neighborhood has a lot of elderly people so it tends to be a quiet neighborhood in that respect - NOTHING like West Campus which I think it a beautiful thing :)
