Liberty Place Apartments

While the rent is reasonable for the area, and the inside of the apartments themselves are nice (if you are renting a renovated unit), the overall management of Liberty Place is incredibly poor. And the apartment buildings and grounds--outside of the units--are very poorly maintained. The apartment building boasts that it is a secure space due to its gated entrances and outside doors that you typically must use a key to unlock. However, many of the outside gates or doors are broken and remain broken despite being reported to management (including broken glass that is left on sidewalks). Despite a gated parking lot, several cars have been broken into. Maintenance requests either take a long time to be addressed or are sometimes never addressed. There is a lot of trash in and around the apartment buildings, which is sometimes left by the apartment staff themselves, and almost never cleaned up. The walls and floors are quite thin. Of course, neighbor noise is common in apartment buildings, but you'll be able to hear almost everything your upstairs neighbor does. Further, while the area may be considered a safer neighborhood in Columbus, it is still subject to crime and residents should be careful when walking around at night. Perhaps one plus is the building's location to some cool bars and restaurants within walking distance. You can also walk to Kroger, though it is not the safest or most well maintained Kroger.
