Lenfest Hall

The rent is relatively inexpensive considering that it includes gas, electricity, water, and internet.
The heating system does not work unless outside temperture goes down below a certain level, which is quite cold.
Because there is not sufficient lighting in the room, it is a bit dark at night.
The view from the highest floor is great.
The room is not so spacious, but enough for two people.
It is very convenient for students to go to law school.

Lenfest Hall is close to the university and the facilities are clean and organized, with a very supportive management.

Pick higher floors

Overall, I really enjoyed living at Lenfest. It is extremely convenient because it is so close to the law school. The apartments itself are not luxurious, but totally fine. The rent, however, is extremely challenging, especially if you come from places where rent is not at all comparable to New York. Another thing I found improvable was the fact that besides the basic furniture (bed, desk etc.), there is nothing in the apartment (kitchen utensils etc.). Maybe there would be a way to connect previous and future tenants to buy that stuff frome ach other? If you can, try to get an apartment on a highler floor (lots of sunlight and great views).

Lenfest as such is great. It is extremely convenient and the apartments are not too bad. Coming from Germany, the rent - in NY in general - can be extremely challenging. However, I would choose Lenfest again.

Building is good, not very new but clean, the studio is spacious for one person, the refrigerator is quite noisy.

Pretty decent. The gym could be a bit more furnished with machines and small stuff like dumbbells or barbells. Scaffolding is absolutely unnecessary. Clean the windows and remove the mosquito nets.

Overall, I am very happy with Lenfest and would recommend it to other students.

The size of the apartment and the furniture it comes with has been very convenient. The location is great and lovely staff. I also feel safe living at Lenfest.

The only issue to be mindful is that the hot water in the shower can take some time heat up and it's irregular (when this issue does arise). It is also difficult to open the windows.
