Great place to live for Florence Students

The neighborhood is safe and secure. Management has been great to work with and and are always courteous and respectful. The neighborhood is well maintained and always looks nice. The units are single story triplexes with small fenced in yards in the back that landscaping maintains. The unit comes with smart home technology, such as a ring door bell, smart thermostat, and google home. In addition, there is a lot of green space with paved walk ways and a huge dog park with benches and even some toys. Management does a monthly breakfast, puts on little contests, and even puts together dog parties. There are only a few things I don’t like. The washer and dryer hookups are in the master bedroom closet. It’s convenient if you plan to live alone, but something to consider if you plan on living with a roommate. The other downside is that the homes were constructed quite quickly, so sometimes there’s little issues like floorboards coming up or a towel hook that isn’t secured well to the wall. These are incredibly minor and don’t usually effect day to day living. Plus management is always very responsive and quick to fix any problems that may arise. Also, currently there is still construction going on because they are still expanding the neighborhood. From where I live, I’m hardly aware of it unless I take a walk to that specific portion of the neighborhood. If you move into one of the newer units, this may be an issue, but it will likely resolve within a few months because they are building the units so quickly. It is about 15-20 minutes to McLeod and up to 30 minutes to MUSC, but the drive is mostly a straight shot. I typically leave early enough that I’m not fighting traffic. Finally, it is a bit pricey, but I do believe the extra cost is worth it. It can be really affordable with a roommate, and not having to constantly resolve housing issues makes a huge difference in wellbeing. I previously lived in a really bad apartment complex with horrible management, and it became a constant stressor. Even when there wasn’t an issue, I was constantly on edge because I never knew what would go wrong next. It is definitely worth a little extra money per month to live in such a great place.
