Cross Hill Apartments

The apartment itself is so beautiful, roomy, and affordable. However, the area is dangerous, unsanitary, and I often do not feel safe. They are renovating a small portion of the complex and only post these pictures on the website. They are 1000+ dollars base pay, but the area is still just as unsafe and filled with trash!
1) So many unfriendly transient people in the area walking through the apartment complex. The apartment across the street is very run down, and they throw away their trash on our parking lot and walk through our complex to get to the food lion.
2) The apartment management does not care about its property. There is communal laundry on site, but its disgusting. The machines flood during a storm and dont drain. After washing my bed sheets and clothes, they all smelled of putrid dog, and I broke out in hives.
3) I was throwing away my trash and walked up on my neighbor defecating behind the dumpster.
4) A drive by shooting occurred right outside my window, resulting in a male being shot.
5) Door is busted from a previous attempted break in, toilet is wobbly, shower handle falls off, dishwasher wasnt bolted in when I first moved in.
6) SO much weed from neighbors. The smell leaks and concentrates into all of your cabinets.
7) Floors are severely uneven, so there are multiple "hills" throughout the hardwood. Which arent that noticeable until you lay too far back on your bed and it seasaws you in the air. Or your bookcase wont sit flush on the ground and may topple over.
8) I get out of my car in the parking lot and step directly in trash.
9) Neighbors use black garbage bags as curtains and often throw used baby diapers on the grass. Also dont pick up after their dogs.
10) Floors are unnaturally squeaky but everywhere. Its like walking around with speaky-toy shoes on.
I would not recommend this property to anyone. One good thing is that police's arrival time to the apartment is pretty fast.
