Edge - East Village

Love this place. Great customer service.

It is close to campus and the night life (which is nice)! It advertises itself as 'luxury' it is not. It was built fast and cheap. I lived there for a year and a half and in that time I there was a lot of maintenance issues. The person above me had an issue where the toilet water line leaked and maintenance had to replace the ceiling above my toilet. The grout in the tile chips and flakes away with minor cleaning. The tile in the hallways are broken and loose. The noise is terrible! The walls and ceiling are thin to the point you can hear the people above you walking from one room to the other and opening doors.

The worst issue is the security! Living downtown there needs to be security as there are a lot of people coming and going in the area. The parking gate to the second floor works 1% of the time. The doors to the building from the second floor (that have key fobs to unlock them) can be pushed open with a little force. By the end of my stay I really feared for my overall safety and the safety of my car/belongings.

One evening I was taking my dog out around 11pm and I encountered a homeless man sleeping under the inside stairwell. It shook me up.

The employees for the majority of my time there were all amazing! Towards the end of my stay, they staff turned over and I was not impressed with them. (not as amazing).
