Conveniently Located

My experience may not be applicable and relatable to all, because my roommate is a sorority sister of mine, so the rent and other accommodations are different as opposed to renting from a completely random individual. She just so happens to be my roommate as well. So, I'm thankful but...

I settled on this option because it was convenient and the next best option. Ideally, I would have liked my own space from living room, kitchen, etc. However, I do believe that the housing crisis is a huge issue, because I truly do not understand why rent to share a space and rent a 1b/1b should be this unreasonable especially given the typical salary a 1 household income makes. And when I was apartment hunting before starting my new job, I was shocked to find that studios are in the $2,000+ range for a shoebox (500 sq ft)...Efficiencies are about the same. Overall, it's sort of ridiculous and hope that UM can possibly assist in this major stressor.
