Review of 149 E State St

Walking distance from campus, lots of restaurants, & the lakes. No amenities or visitor parking - they have to park on the street. Pet friendly. Perfect space for a person living alone. Can get kind of noisy due to outside traffic but never hear my neighbors.

Review of 149 E State St

Overall, I like my apartment for the location, price, and style. It's an 8 unit building with only 5 or 6 filled so for the most part, I have pretty quiet neighbors. It's a tad outdated with the window units and compact floor plan, but it's a great space for just my cat and me. Considering it's within walking distance of campus, there's easy access to a variety of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. However, for this same reason, it also attracts a lot of noise. My apartment is also next door to a gas station which a lot of shady characters frequent so I've heard some commotion from time to time but nothing too ridiculous. I don't have any communication with the actual land lord, but there is a property manager who is super helpful and always available. Because it's an old building, there are a lot of pests that slip through the crack of the old windows or hardwood floors. Other than that, there's not much to complain about.
