Humble Living Arrangement
This is not a luxury apartment. You're paying for a no-frills one-bedroom apartment with some notable drawbacks. However, if you are ok with living without the nicest amenities, this is a great value.
Also, each apartment has slight differences. My neighbor's apartment has a drawer under the bathroom sink and newer kitchen cabinets than mine.
Pros:
- Relatively cheap for a 1Br/1Ba
- No trouble with bugs
- Gas stove
- Location (Close to Emory shuttle/MARTA stop)
- Safe, quiet neighborhood
- Plenty of parking (no reserved spaces)
- Maintenance is responsive to requests (1-2 work day response rate)
Cons:
- Small bathroom with no counter space
- Small kitchen with no counter space
- Well-worn cabinets in the kitchen
- Thin floors/ceiling. I hear my upstairs neighbors' floor creak as they walk through their apartment. The walls to the left and right are thick enough to not hear my next-door neighbors. However, most tenants are very quiet
- Poor amenities (pool cleaned only 2x per year)
- Laundry room only has 2 washers + 2 dryers. The washers were broken for 3 weeks before they were repaired. Management outsources maintenance to the laundry company, so they were not helpful in expediting the process
