UK Grad & Fam Housing - Shawneetown
Definitely not the most modern apartment complex but I feel it has been generally well taken care of by management. Management is responsive and puts in effort to try to maintain and improve the space (ex. upgrading internet/cable system; renovating roofing; adding new playground area for kids; putting up soccer nets), as well as hosting the occasional, seasonal event to create a sense of community. Fairly good communication from management too. Apartment floor plan itself is decent with welcome closet space, reliable heating and functional appliances. Complex is located close enough to UK and right next to the beautiful UK Arboretum which provides a calming, natural ambiance that families/tenants living here can enjoy so that although it’s also adjacent to Kroger Field, the busy energy that brings can be easy to forget if you want to. Overall, I’ve enjoyed living here.
