Merrick Place Rocks
My rent is very affordable for a two bedroom. It comes out to $550 per person. My drive to UK COM is less than 10 minutes. I live right off of new circle, so it is really easy to get anywhere in Lexington, and it is not a very busy exit, so there is not a ton of traffic. The apartment complex itself is very safe, and it is a cozy environment. Parking is also great here. There are plenty of parking options, and guests are free to park anywhere, unlike many other apartment complexes in Lex. Lastly, this unit included a washer and dryer so that I did not have to buy my own. Kithcens are small which is the only negative for me.

Overall a good place to live
Close to the hospital for commute, usually only takes about 10 minutes to get to orange lot. Very quiet with mostly older tenants, good for studying and Zoom meetings. Can be some maintenance issues being in older buildings but typically they are quick and will fix any issues in 1-2 days, or faster if urgent. Just renovated in last few years. There can be some temperature issues depending on if you are facing the sun. The A/C machines are older and sometimes can't keep up as well as you'd like and will run all day. Parking is free and usually doesn't fill up completely.

Merrick Place
Overall a great facility. Fortunately we locked in our unit pre-COVID, so I am unsure of the prices these days. However, I live in one of the larger townhomes. They have apartments and smaller townhomes available as well. Close to campus and we’ll maintained. I highly recommend!

Decent experience
Dated spaces that have been renovated. Short ceilings, lots of noise from the building, generally older neighbors, not much traffic or street noise.

Decent experience
The unit itself is fine but the building is old and I can hear every single step the person living above me takes. I will be moving out when my lease ends.

Quiet close to campus
Nice updated places, mostly townhomes and apartments. Pool in summer and gym year round. Near grocery stores. <10min drive to campus, could bike too though. Lots of dogs in community. Have to drive to downtown but Lexington has very few cool places to live near downtown. Great med student location.
