Lake Street Apartments

This is a very well-managed apartment. The landlord is attentive and maintains the property very well. The furniture is beautiful and often locally made. For those looking for a non-smoking, no-pet option, this is wonderful. Please note no AC is provided, but you can use your own portable unit.

1. I like the spaciousness of it, the apartment itself is quite large, with a good view of Ithaca city from the kitchen window
2. Bedroom is quite large
3. Weird layout in the middle, don't like the staircase position blocking our path to the kitchen
4. Radiators don't wok all that well
5. Travis Hyde management is not customer-centric at all. Had issue with electric heater and they threatened to slap a $100 fine on me for requesting maintenance service. The email was written by Karen in a very unaccommodating manner. Highly recommend seeking rental from other companies.

I lived in this apartment for one year but wish it had been available for both years! My favorite aspect of my apartment is that the floorplan is spacious, and I'm in a quiet, convenient location that is a 15-20 minute walk to Sage and a 20-minute walk to the Commons. (There are also buses a block from the apartment if you don't want to walk up or down the hill.) I highly recommend the two apartments on the top floor, as you have views across Ithaca and down towards the lake in the wintertime.
My least favorite part about living here is that the driveway can be a little treacherous in the winter, so if you want to bring a car I recommend snow tires or AWD. Management is decently responsive, although sometimes the snow service doesn't come until the afternoon in winter.

I absolutely love living here. The rent is inexpensive, it's close to campus, and it's furnished.

This is a pretty basic apartment. Nothing fancy, but reasonable rent and located within walking distance of the law school.
