Commute
I will say the building is new and lovely, although it is quite expensive, and not in a great neighborhood. Additionally our neighbor is constantly smoking weed and management has done everything they can to try to get them to stop including legal action although nothing has changed. Additionally, our unit is very very small. We are looking to move back over to NW probably in the Woodly Park area.

The Batley
I have enjoyed my experience at the Batley so far. There are great study spaces, a rooftop pool, and a gym. It’s on the pricier side but with their periodic deals the price can come down quite a bit.

Nice apartment, great location!
I like living in the Batley. They have very nice facilities and amenities, including a great gym, a pool, and a rooftop with grills and a lounge area. It's also dog friendly and I love seeing dogs around the building. The location is great -- walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores (TJ and Harris Teeter), and activities. It's also a short walk (~8 mins) to the NoMa metro station, as well as the Metro Branch Trail, Alethia Tanner dog park, and Stanton Park. My only complaints are that there is a ton of construction in the area, so it can be pretty loud sometimes. The management company is also meh. Luckily, we never had a serious problem, but I know other people in my building had issues with them. Other building staff are great, especially the maintenance staff. It's also pretty expensive to live there, especially once you add in utilities, parking fee ($200 per car per month), and pet fee ($50 per pet per month).
