Solo on Chestnut - 4125
The best parts about this apartment is how spacious it is, its proximity to the law school, the low rent, and its location on the 21 bus line. If you time it right, you can get from this apartment to basically everywhere. Even though it is in a not bad part of West Philly, unfortunately it is between two run down buildings on a block that is a little less nice than the surrounding ones. The walk to the law school is about 15 mins - not bad at all. The security and amenities are pretty terrible. There is also no front desk and the management does not respond very quickly. And the walls are very thing. However, for the price the apartment is clean and big, and everything works - the temperature control in particular functions really well, with different AC/heat units for each room (good if you and your roommate disagree about what temperature your apartment should be, which we do). Also, the gym is pretty nice.

Gets the job done
It gets the job done. I like it because it's a 15-minute walk from the law school, about 12 minutes from the gym, close to the Market Frankford line on 40th, and a relatively close walk to Spruce Hill. Our living room is generally spacious, though the kitchen, laundry equipment, and dishwasher are considerably small. I like the structure of my room, spacious as well and interesting. Decent cleanliness. Also expect your showers to usually only get to medium temperature, rarely hot, at least not for long. Managment sometimes can take a while to respond to maintenance issues and other concerns, which admittedly has been frustrating at times. Oh yeah and the furnished couches aren't the most comfortable in the world.
Anyways, overall solid selection but not amazing

A bit overpriced, but nice to have in-unit laundry. My bathroom ceiling has a leak problem. The management team is responsive, but the leak problem has never been fully fixed. It happened occasionally from time to time.

Amazing Experience
I love living here at SOLO on Chestnut. Management is so kind and always available for any questions or concerns. The walls are thick so I have lots of peace and quiet without any disturbance from neighbors. The rooftop is phenomenal and provides such a nice view of the city. 10/10 experience and I am certainly living here again.
