Great apartment close to School of Medicine
Moved here as an M-4 since I only had one rotation at PH Richland and a couple at the VA. The apartment is well-kept with new carpeted floors, walk-in closets, and an abundance of living room space. Look carefully at the floor plans, because the windows, doors, and walk-in closets make positioning a large bed and desk tricky. Has built in electronic security system.
Gym has 3 treadmills, 1-2 ellipticals, lat row, leg press, chest press, and a cable crossover machine.
Minor grievances: the kitchen sink is shallow and the spigot is low, making it hard to wash large items. The A/C units use a weird 22x22in air filter that is hard to find. Occasional cockroaches.

Apartments themselves are decent, but management makes it miserable
The apartments themselves are nice enough and spacious. The community is mostly military families, other young people, and retired folks. When I walk my dog most are friendly and sociable. The laundry room equipment is pretty old and destroyed several delicates. The gym is small, but decent. I can't speak much on the pool because I've never used it. It's a standard pool and seems clean. The location is close to school, groceries, and a lot of fast food, but not near a lot of nice restaurants. The area has a lot of homeless people and crime, so that's less than ideal.
When I first moved in management was friendly but a little unorganized; however, when they messed up they always apologized and made things right. Within months of school starting the apartments got bought out by southwood realty. Ever since then management has become unresponsive and unbearable. They don't notify you when packages arrive and don't adhere to the 24hr notice prior to entry in the lease. Additionally, it's almost impossible to get anything fixed. They are also incredibly unorganized, and demanded vaccination records for a kitten that was not old enough to have any yet, demonstrating that they are not even knowledgeable about the basics.
