Living at The One
This place is new and has great amenities! The living space in the 1 bedroom apartment is perfect and exactly what you need. The apartment comes furnished and includes all amenities. The only downside is that they have increased their prices and is very expensive for a 1 bedroom.

The One at University
I personally like living at the One. The only complaints I have is that the units are very small, and the price is expensive. Parking is $75 a month. The walls are thin but that will be true for all apartments. The internet is excellent if you have you're own router. You get your own washer and dryer. Comes fully furnished with a flat screen TV that comes with cable. Many study areas available and it's right across the street from FIU.

Definitely recommend
Living at The One has been a great experience because it is so close to campus and about 11 people in our cohort live here so we can study together and practice for the physical exams. You can request a "graduate floor" or specify that you would like to be in a quieter location to focus on studying and they will try to accommodate to your preferences. The pool, amenities, and study spaces are great, also. The apartments are brand new and fully furnished so it is great for someone moving from far away.

AVOID THE ONE
The staff is immature and will make up excuses to get more money from you. They are not helpful in solving any issues you may have with the apartment. Most of the staff consists of college students, so they are not professionals at all. Maintenance team members will enter your unit at least once a month even without your permission. The units are very crammed and most units have incomplete ceilings. Wifi is also very unreliable. Neighbors tend to be noisy and may smoke marijuana as well as doing other recreational drugs, and the smell will linger into your unit. For the square footage and poor management, this apartment is overpriced compared to other nearby student living apartments.

Review of The One at University City
It's a nice apartment and right across the street from FIU's MMC campus. It is also just a 6 minute drive away from FCC which is where some of the PA school classes will be held.

Convenient
It’s located right across from campus, so unless you are at FCC you can walk to class. It’s fully furnished, so for anyone from out of town/state, the moving process is simpler because of this. The utilities are included, but there is a $35 cap, so anything over for the unit is your responsibility. Ask about ALL of the fees and your responsibilities before you sign your lease, and get a copy for yourself. It’s a nice place to live, but it is noisy if you are in class via Zoom and while studying. Things have improved since the building first opened, but still just try to talk to as many previous residents as possible or read reviews online/ look at their social media to see if it’s the lifestyle you are looking for. It’s great for some, while other residents in our cohort are looking for another options. It all depends on your personal pro/con list. Management can either be super helpful, or borderline rude depending on who you talk to. They will likely be wonderful if you are intending to sign a lease here, but try to talk to a few members of the management team first.

TheOne
One of the benefits living here is that its almost walking distance to FIU and very close to the Flagler campus. However, the space is small (~350 sqft) and it can feel very tight at times. You have to pay for parking monthly. The gym and amenities are nice if you use them.

Living experience
I’ve dealt with issues prior to moving into this building.
1. My original unit was not ready on the date it was supposed to be ready. I had to be out of my other apartment by that date.
2. The unit I was assigned looked nothing like the floor plan I signed for.
3. I had to switch units and pay extra money.
4. The apartment and parking garage is filled with construction dusk.
5. My apartment did not come with all promised appliances.
6. I have lost hot water at least 20 times since living here.
7. I have lost Wifi several times during class.
8. Walls are thin. I can hear my neighbor talk.
9. Management is terrible and will not fix any of these problems.
10. I have to pay extra for utilities each month.
11. Garage is still filled with construction dust after living here for 6 months. I got a flat tire from a screw in the garage.

Wouldn't Recommend
The internet here is very spotty, which is problematic when the whole building is students with online classes. The apartments are EXTREMELY SMALL for how expensive it is. The ceilings and walls are thin so you can hear everything your neighbors on all sides are doing. The parking garage doors do not lock so anyone can come into the building at any time. The pool is nice.
