Adequate housing for med students, incredible Mardi Gras spot.
Going on 3 years living here. There are definite perks of living here: living on St. Charles/the parade route is incredible, I love the neighborhood. I regularly walk to District Donuts / Stein's / Gracious Bakery, etc. The staff is mostly amazing (there's one lady I avoid because she's mean, but the rest are great!). The apartments are what you pay for. The kitchens are teeny tiny, and the bathrooms are prone to collecting mold because of lack of ventilation. There are no in-unit washer/dryer; the communal ones are free, but they will destroy your clothing over time. There is central A/C that works pretty well. There are adequate outlets available around the apartments, and the Georgian's cable company OneLink is free for basic cable and basic internet, we upgraded the internet and pay $50/month for that. The parking lot is comparatively well priced $100/per month per car. Lately we've had some ant and fruit fly issues that seem to be systemic in the building, and there is an infamous opera singer that management can't seem to find.
