Terrible place to live
This apartment is awful. I paid extra to have a “renovated” apartment but everything was just sprayed with a coat of paint. The drain in the bathtub/shower gets clogged by the paint chipping out of the bathtub. There have been all kinds of bugs and roaches. I got matched with a random roommate who refuses to clean or do anything to help with the apartment. I did not have A/C for the first month I lived there and even after 10 maintenance requests the A/C unit still doesn’t work properly. There was a leak from the apartment above mine that flooded my apartment and caused severe mold. The complex told me it would all be removed and fixed but they have no mentioned a repair even after several requests and visits to the office for an update. Nothing about this place is good or nice. The floors are so dirty that I can’t get them clean no matter how many times I try. There is hair both human and not painted into the walls. My bedroom door is broken and the complex has refused to fix it. Overall a terrible place to live.

Not worth it
I chose this apartment based on its proximity to campus and the value, but it wasn't worth it. High staff turnover lead to relatively unreliable communications with the leasing office. Maintenance requests took too long to handle. We dealt with persistent pest problems that weren't remedied by management.

You get what you pay for
The location is great! Near bus stops, campus, and groceries. And the price is great especially with being so close to campus. However, in the time I've lived here there's been LOTS of crime and noise. Plus maintenance issues that weren't addressed in a timely manner, like our air conditioning breaking during Louisiana summers and remaining broken for several days despite bugging management every day.

Not a very safe apartment complex
The only convenient thing is the Walmart next door, apart from that the apart complex has witnessed multiple shooting incidences and a death in the parking lot.

Good place to start
The place is great for starters when you are sharing with a roommate. If you are looking to lease for a single bed I feel it is a little more expensive than the average.
I love the place because it's just a few steps from Walmart, UPS and pharmacies, which I think it's are the most important stores around.
Both the CATS bus and LSU tigertrail have a stop right outside the complex, which means you can pretty much go anywhere in the city.
However, I did have a bad experience with the leasing manager as we were almost bullied into leasing a single apt. Other than that, the staff is always helpful and any maintenance requirement is solves very quickly, in my experience.
Overall, I feel like it's a great place to start because it is close to most needed stores and because of transportation, which is so difficult for international students.

A last resort
The apartments are old and infested with bugs. I cannot count the number of times my air conditioning unit has broken. The rental contracts are also very strict. Upper management is a chore to deal with, but the office staff and maintenance workers are all wonderful. The rent is inexpensive, but this is the only reason to stay.

Terrible
Maintenance slow. The roommate matching is terrible. They dont follow graduate/undergraduate criteria and dont let you know if they found a roommate.

DONT LIVE AT THE HUB
Coming to Louisiana for graduate school, I realized the famous saying “You get what you pay for”... and the hub was very cheap to live at. It was very gross, management was never helpful or kind. The complex itself is disgusting, cockroaches everywhere, oh, and somebody was shot about 25 feet from my apartment. I would highly recommend NOT living here. They’ll show you a really nice design of what the apartments “look” like, but that is absolutely not what you will receive. Many other apartments also had no air conditioning the whole summer.
