A roof and four walls, mostly bug free
The good: Fantastic location, near great dining, shopping, entertainment. Really couldn't ask for anything better. Heck, there's a great dentist two minutes away. Campus is about 15 minutes away, so you are definitely away from the party/student atmosphere (take that as a plus or a minus as you will), but still close enough to not have an endless commute.
Management tries really hard to address any issues.
The bad: There are a lot of issues, in my experience.
Mostly very small, like a tiny chip in a window pane or a faucet handle that won't stay on properly.
Some are medium, like a clogged dryer vent that takes three trips from a specialist in order to be kind-of cleared, or a dysfunctional sink sprayer hose.
Some are big, like a bathroom that floods the house for seemingly no reason (even contracted plumbers couldn't find out where the water was coming from), or water damage in the ceiling that takes literally 2+ months of repairs to finally resolve.
Bottom line: We have been looking around at other apartments that we may want to move to when our lease is up. But ultimately, the location is truly fantastic and management has been doing their best to help. And that counts for a lot. I will probably stay in this location for another year at least.
