Great Solo Living and Bang for Buck
Typical apartment complex with nothing really special, besides the rent. For someone who wants to live alone in a well kept unit for the best price.

Chesnut Hill South
Great management who is extremely responsive to feedback and to any issues that arise. The maintenance team is also great and quick to resolve any problems that require fixing. The building also has central AC and heat which is included in the rent.

Spacious apartment for a great cost!
Great apartment overall! Large bedrooms, 1 bathroom with 2 sinks/ vanities, updated flooring, laminate floors in living/kitchen/halls/bathrooms, carpeted bedrooms, small bedroom closet, huge windows, huge balcony, lots of storage space in 3 hall closets, small pantry but lots of overhead cabinets, updated granite countertops and white cabinets, but non stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer dryer available, pool. Currently building solar panel carports. Management has been responsive to needs so far. Not many students live here, so not a great social aspect.

Excellent experience
I have had a great experience living in the Chestnut Hill South Apartments in Hamden. The apartment complex is clean, quiet, and maintained well. I personally like that this apartment complex is smoke-free and pet-free. I have my own assigned parking space in the parking lot behind the building. I have only had to ask for maintenance requests a handful of times while living here, and each time the workers responded to my requests very promptly and professionally. I have chosen to live in this apartment complex all four years of medical school because of the great experience I've had.

Excellent but expensive
The place is huge I think it's like 900+ sqft, everything works, and it was clean when I arrived. I do have to pay for laundry 2 dollars per wash/dry. The parking is great and I feel very safe. But it is a lot of money and I feel like I could have had a better deal elsewhere. If you love space and want to make a place your own you'd love it here (I'm just not like that). Also, the heat is very very strong and the building either does heat or AC so while you can control your own thermostat the building is just so warm that when the fan is on it blows heat into my apartment. So unless I open the windows the apartment can be 73+ degrees in the fall so far.

Very good for students
Great experience. No real complaints. No bug issue, central air and many amenities. Has an onsite gym and pool. I really enjoy living here.
