Cheap and pretty nice!
I have a 1 bedroom with a deck. It’s a new apartment. The building is not manager super well, maintenance takes time but overall it’s a nice place and very close to campus.

Great Center City Apartment for the price
Would recommend not to live in the building containing the trash room in the basement. Any other of the two buildings seem great so far

Everything you could love (and hate?) about a Philly Apartment
Being in school, having a lot of sunlight is extremely important to me. My particular unit (there are 13 others of different shapes and sizes) is extremely well-lit and spacious. I get a lot of bang for my buck, and it is a great 1-bedroom that more than comfortably fits 2 people! We help our friends out by caring for their dogs and cats. With the size of our place and the small courtyard on the property, it hasn't been a problem. (There is a pet rent if we plan on owning our own pet though!) Waverly Street isn't busy, so it serves as a great place to help move things in and out on move-in days. There is a lot of closet space and a storage unit downstairs. Sadly, there is no in-unit W/D ($2 per machine in the basement). There is a trash room so you don't have to worry about trash day as much, but it is a home for mice, which I have sometimes seen in my apartment (and is overall pretty common in Philly). And, although we don't pay for heat, we also don't get to control the radiators. Otherwise, it's a 3-7 minute walk to the PATCO and Broad Street Line. Rittenhouse Square is beautiful and full of restaurants and dog parks. I love my home and plan on staying!
