Apt. needs updating

Some units have been updated in the building, but ours is not one of them. Plaster is cracking, windows are not double-paned, and it has popcorn ceilings. Stove sucks. Somewhat poorly insulated, as it is a cheaply built 1960s dingbat apartment. Management is not terribly responsive and the city wrote up a bunch of violations recently. However, it has low rent and pretty spacious. Wood floors are a plus.

Location-wise, it is a five minute drive to Culver City and a 15 minute walk to the metro. It is just off Overland so good access to the 10. But it is on a street with a relatively high flow of traffic and especially with trucks avoiding the lack of protected arrows on Palms Blvd. There is a dip in the road that people always hit and it can be annoying.

Comes with a tandem spot with the third roommate on the street. Parking can be tight sometimes, but not as bad as other Palms neighborhoods. Street sweeping on alternating sides of street Wed/Thurs. There is a also a school a couple of blocks away where you can park.
