Convenient location
Location: walking distance to grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, restaurants, shipping companies. Street parking can be very difficult, although there are a couple parking lots nearby for a monthly fee. Several bus lines are nearby if you don't have a car.
Price: is on the cheaper side based on the location and unit size, because it is an older building.
Management: current building manager is responsive, easily reachable, and friendly.
Environment: this neighborhood has been considered as relatively safe, but safety level has unfortunately reduced in 2020. I would be very alert and carry a pepper spray if I walk alone after dark. You can hear city noises during the day, especially if windows are opened, but the noises don't bother me at night when I go to sleep.
The only two issues that bothered me were that 1. there were cockroach infestations attracted by the cat food. So, after I stopped leaving cat food out at night, and after exterminators came a few times, I stopped seeing roaches 3 months ago. 2. there are package thieves residing in one unit, who stole a couple of my packages and several of my neighbors', but after they were exposed and reported to building manager, they were told to move out by the end of Dec 2020. Hopefully that will go smoothly so we'll see.
Oh, and there is a heater, but no AC -- I had to purchase a portable AC to keep cool during the hottest days.

Overall happy with my apartment
Pros: Lots of sunlight, close to grocery store, pharmacy, bank, and public transit. Responsive management. Safe neighborhood. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Cons: cockroach problems, there's no AC, no parking, old building. For parking you have to do street parking or park at nearby lots.
