Cheap for the area, but not the highest quality

I've lived here comfortably for over a year and a half now. The apartment is about 600 sq ft. However, the balcony is unfinished, there's minor damage to the bathroom sink, my kitchen sink flooded, my heat went out once, I've dealt with cockroaches, mice, and fly infestations, and the power briefly goes out once in a while. All in all, not my worst living experience. 3/8.

Great place to live near campus

Great spot to live that’s in Midtown and quiet enough with a walkable distance to school (15 min)

Great price and location

I suspect that each apartment at this complex varies (how much remodeling has been done, how recently, etc.) but overall I have been so happy with my apartment this year. The building is older overall but my unit, at least, has been updated. It is clean, a great size for someone living alone, and has amazing natural light (floor to ceiling windows on two walls). The apartment has garage parking, a small gym, a communal laundry room, a pool, and a 24/7 security guard who also helps with packages, etc. The location is in midtown towards music row but the building is solid so it is very quiet and secure. A 15-20 minute walk or ~7 minute drive to campus makes it ideal.

Nice complex for living alone

My apartment is a decent size for one person. The building has a lot of other Vandy grad students and even some residents. I have one covered parking spot included. I also have a big balcony where I raise my plants. It's a 15-minute walk from school and there are many spots to grab coffee or food on the way. It is a quiet complex and I usually can do my studying at home. Since my landlord is a private owner of the apartment, he did not increase my rent over the years. Electricity costs me 30-80 dollars depending on how much I'm home. Some downsides are that the gym is very outdated and my landlord doesn't allow pets (this may be different for other units in the complex). Overall I'm very satisfied with living here for the past 2+ years.
