The Woodlands of Knoxville

Pretty good, but filled with undergrads so it gets a little loud. I'm fortunate that I get to rent from a friends' parents and not through the apartment complex so my rent is very cheap.

The location is convenient since it is very close to the COP building, and rent is relatively cheap. They also offer a free shuttle to the UTK campus. However, the walls are very thin so you can hear car alarms, people talking, and dogs barking from outside as well as roommates opening/closing their doors. I have also noticed quite a few bugs and some cockroaches, and there always seems to be issues with management.

this is mainly student housing, quiet, safe and secure, minutes to the school, and has tons of community activities, give aways, even a bus to take you to and from campus. If you can apply early enough, highly recommend

In Knoxville, TN housing depends on three factors, and residents choose two out of three: 1) cheap housing; 2) nice housing; 3) close housing. If you choose a residence that is cheap and nice, then it is not close (i.e. Woodlands, The Orchard, Quarry Trial, etc. If you choose a residence that is cheap and close, then it will be "run down." If you choose a residence that is nice and close, then it will not be cheap. You pick.

I'm in a unique situation where my roommate's parents own the unit I'm living in, but the community as a whole is great and I have a great living situation here. Much better than other places I've lived (The Standard).

The Woodlands is a solid place to live that gets the job done. Nothing too fancy, nice amenities that serve their purpose, and decent management/HOA. great location tho only 7ish minutes to campus.

Apartments are kinda old. AC breaks often.
