Mesa Nueva

Sort of hard to get to places, you will need to walk long distances (20 ish minutes) to everything and it's not close to bus stops (except for the UCSD shuttle).

Other than that, most of the residents are students and the community is very catered towards students. There are also weekly trivia nights and other events so it's a pretty good residential community.

Also, for La Jolla, the rent price is actually decent compared to renting off campus.

convenient location, bedrooms are small though

I just moved in the apartment 10 days ago, and currently the facilities are good, but i live near Miramar street, so there will be lots of noise from cars.

I’m paying about $1500 (including electricity which isn’t covered) for my half of a 2 bed 2 bath. Maintenance is super responsive, the residence is very new and has no mold problems, and it’s extremely close to campus. I recommend the newer complexes (mesa nueva, Nuevo east, Nuevo west) as they’re in much better condition and don’t have mold. Only complaint is there’s no AC and we had a lot of issues with the fire alarm going off randomly at night last year. Overall though I highly recommend and plan to live here for the duration of my program.

It is great to live in Mesa Nueva, which provides a safe and comfortable living environment. Although the number of rooms is limited and the maximum term is 2 years, students can spend great time living there.

I've had a great experience in a studio so far. It's a great size and has lots of storage space. The closet is a little small and the shower has no shelving or anything but is otherwise functional.

With a fair price, it's recommended for any grad students at UCSD if you have no better options.

I live close to the swimming pool and I enjoy swimming there. The gym nearby is also convenient for my workouts. However, I wish the walls between my room and my neighbors could be thicker so there would be less noise.

Living in the grad housing is a nice experience. It provides a comfortable living environment along with wonderful services.

The fact that all utilities and maintenance is included makes it very convenient. It's roomy for a studio and all the major furniture and furnishings are of good quality. Only thing missing is a dish washer, otherwise it's ideal
