Do not live here.
Seriously, do not ever live in a place that is managed by Unique Property Rentals. The owner is a horrible person, super unresponsive. We had mold growing in our apartment and they didn't do anything about it for months. When we finally threatened to take legal action, THEY JUST PAINTED OVER IT! At one point, our power went out because THEY failed to pay for something. Took a day (and us refusing to leave their office until it was fixed) for it to actually get fixed. Also had issues with our locks, never followed up with us. The locks on our doors were not secure, also no insulation in the windows so our electric bill was through the roof for how small of an area it was. There's no closet space, no storage space. No parking spaces. Also, you're right above Drunken Bento - the walls are thin so you will hear everything on McMillan (drunk people, loud cars, street racing, etc.) and you'll hear people on the stoop drinking.

DO NOT LIVE HERE
UC Campus Rentals is the equivalent of a slumlord. Sure it's nice being close to campus, but know that if you have any maintenance issue - it's not going to be fixed for a few months. (Because the landlord will forget you asked him about it.) The building was LOUD, we were right above drunken bento - and you could hear legit everything on the streets. (Including loud cars, drunk people, etc.) We had to move out early because our window was broken, let in a downpour of rain, and mold started to grow on the walls. (They didn't fix it, just let us move out early and painted over it.)

Awesome Location, Average Property, Below Average Landlord
The number one benefit of this apartment is how close it is to the school. It is only a 5 minute walk from campus. The apartment itself is okay. They did not clean before we moved in, the girls before us had lived in the apartment for 3 years and it shows. That being said, it's surprisingly spacious. It is really noisy as it's on McMillan and situated right above Drunken Bento (which stays open late and has loud music). There are underclassmen in all of the other apartments who get pretty loud, but if you have a white noise machine it helps to drown it out. The landlord is right below the apartment, so if there's any immediate emergency you can run down and tell them, otherwise, they generally don't reply to emails. We live in the apartment with only one bathroom (and like no windows haha), but supposedly all of the other apartment (which are priced the exact same) have 1 1/2 bath and better lighting, so we're going to attempt to move into one of those.
