Deacon living
There are several good amenities that the Deacon offers, including internet, a 24-hr gym (though not really maintained), and a pool. The apartments themselves are very spacious, and the proximity to campus will still remaining safe and secure is a plus. However, there are several downfalls. The complex is quite loud (especially on the weekends). I lose internet often, and there is zero cell service in the building. Maintenance is slow to respond, especially in emergencies (I had water coming through light fixtures, and it look them 16 hours to come). The complex itself it a fine place to live, but keep these things in mind.

- management is great and timely when dealing with any issues
-24/7 gym, great facility
-pool has not been open since moved in, and rent did not get reduced with that lack of amenity which is frustrating

The Deacon Review
Living at the Deacon so far has been pretty good. It's located only a block from the west side of campus (15ish min walk to the law school). Gym is well equipped, making it a good alternative to the Rec on campus. There are study rooms on each floor and on the main floor. Other amenities include a pool, bbq area, golf simulator, putting area, and parking garage. Units range from 1 bedroom to 4 bedroom apartments. Each room has its own bathroom and there is an in-unit washer and dryer. Kitchen and bathrooms have granite countertops and all units come fully furnished. On the downside, management can be bad at responding and the furniture is sometimes a little worn down. Overall the complex is pretty safe with security guards on duty at night.

The Deacon
The Deacon is very undergrad heavy which is not extremely conducive to law school studies. While the amenities are nice, for me personally, they don’t outweigh the undergrad feel of the complex.

The Deacon
I like my apartment building, the only downside is there is a lot of noise as undergrad students live here as well as grad students. However, it is very close to the law school and it has reliable internet for online classes.
