Kaufmann Apartments
I truly love living here!

Luxury amenities
I live in a studio apartment that’s very modern. I have in unit washer, stainless steel appliances, a gas range and hood for cooking. My apartment also came with a tv in the bathroom, and a deep tub with jets and rain shower head. The apartment has a 2 floor gym, basketball court, pool, music room, dog park, and so many cool events that they host for residents. The location is great, a 10 minute walk to campus. It’s also directly above target with an elevator that goes down to target without walking outside. It’s walking distance from all of the big firms, court house, small firms, and numerous restaurants. It was an easy commute walking to the firm I worked at after my first summer. The management is really attentive and friendly. The package room is organized well and the neighbors are nice. The apartment always has key fobs and security in the evening and always have someone at the front desk at all times. There is also an attached garage which is rare for downtown so I never have to leave my building to go to my car.

Safe, Quiet, and Close to Campus
It is a lovely place to live. I always feel very safe with the concierge available 24/7 and having the parking garage in the building. I also love the convenience of having a Target in the same building. Neighbors are relatively quiet and everyone is friendly. My favorite part is how close it is to the school, it is only about a 15 minute walk to the law building.

Excelent
I used the VeryApartment rating from Duquesne Law to look into Kaufmanns and other buildings. After doing a detailed search, I am glad I live at Kaufmanns. It offers 24 hour security, garage in unit, and a 7 minute walk from campus. Not only that, but it offers amenities such as a game room, conference rooms, pool, two floor gym. It gives you so many outlets to enjoy while in law school. For the price, which is similar to other options, it offers great amenities and security.

Great if you love downtown!
Beautiful property, very secure and the amenities are unbeatable. But you’re definitely paying for them! Windows are thin so not great for light sleepers. Maintenance has been very fast!

Value For Money
Apartment is on Fifth Ave, half a block from the 61 and 71 buses which take you directly into Oakland in 15-20mins. Apartments are above the Target/CVS so you never have to leave the building to get groceries or meds. Lots of amenities including a package room, concierge, study spaces, a 2 floor gym, outdoor pool (seasonal), basketball court/ice skating rink (seasonal), dog park among other things. Management is very responsive to maintenance requests and feedback. Downside is that it's on the expensive side for Pittsburgh but I believe it's great value for money if you want to live in a place with a big city feel

Studio Dream
Living downtown in a studio has been a nice experience. I personally did not want roommate. Pros include a very nice gym, pool and outdoor lounge and grill area. There is also study/ office work spaces, a golf simulator, and movie theater room All the apartments have in unit laundry and are modern. It’s one of the few apartment building that have an attached garage as well. About a 10 minute walk to campus, very close to market square and can even walk to North Shore on a nice day. Many law firms and events are walking distance being that they’re located downtown. Cons includes that it’s just pretty expensive. Parking is separate.
