Not super luxurious, but it gets the job done
When I started renting here, they offered two month's free rent, which is generous and ultimately what led me to sign the lease.
The apartment is not super close to the school, but it's also not all that far, at least by Houston standards (~15-20 min. drive with light traffic). Different route options are also available if traffic is heavy.
For a single person, the floor plan is quite spacious given the price. The kitchen is excellent with an island and pretty up-to-date appliances.
The unit is wired for Ethernet, which was a major plus for me. A slight downside, though, is that there is only one ISP option (AT&T Fiber). It's not the best ISP ever, but at least they do have very fast speeds.
I believe the building has a concrete core and the walls seem pretty well-built, so I never really hear any of my neighbors much at all (though I do live on the top floor). The complex is also far enough removed from the highway/busy streets that you aren't likely to hear very much street noise.
Aside from the occasional small spider sneaking in from the balcony, I haven't seen a single bug after months of living here.
Parking is usually okay. There are reserved spaces available for an extra cost, but I haven't felt the need to purchase one. Early on, there was a time where some certain makes of cars in the garage were getting their wheels stolen, but that hasn't happened again after management hired nighttime security guards and fixed the gate.
So far, the biggest downside to this apartment complex has been management. Ownership changed right as I was moving in, and there were a lot of headaches for me because of that. I'm hopeful that things will go smoother as the new team gets settled, though.
