Overall, well-managed apartment complex in great location
We chose The Landes, in large part, because of its location. We're two blocks from the stunning Central Library, and a ten-minute walk from much of the Capitol Hill scene in the other direction. Kathy Jordan, the manager of the building, is personable and competent. Sometimes, it takes a package a little while to get to you (because it has to be filtered through her office), but otherwise, everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Very dog-friendly, which is a huge plus. Our apartment itself isn't spacious, but at ~750 sq ft, it's about as much space as our family (two adults, one baby, and two dogs) needs right now. The amenities within the apartment are nice, too; faux-granite countertops and laminate (faux-hardwood) flooring. Our south-facing unit has a view of Ranier on clear days, too.

Landes
Location on first hill makes it a five minute walk to downtown and capitol hill. . Management is friendly and accommodating. The building is extremely pet friendly.
The location does mean a fair bit of freeway noise. The rooftop deck is a nice common amenity.
