Post Katy Trail
Pros: Love the access to the Katy Trail, walk to Starbucks, Glorias, Howard Wangs, McKinney Ave bars. Easy access to the Uptown Trolley. Relatively quiet, not frat house type apartment.
Cons: There have been break-in's to the garage, Pool closes early at night with no access to it, Uptown rent is ridiculously expensive.

Satisfied but could be better
Great location on the trail and near good spots in Uptown. Neighbors are friendly and the layout of apartment is nice.
Some challenges with repeat and extended maintenance on elevators. My bike was stolen from the parking garage (which is supposed to be secure) but it is otherwise a very safe area.

Oak Lawn Reviews
This is a very active neighborhood with a bar scene on the weekends. There are homeless people who live around here, but they have never bothered me. While I wouldn't call it a dangerous neighborhood, there is probably a little more crime than some larger complexes such as the Village.
