Looking for a nice clean apartment far enough from campus you get away but close enough to campus for you to still feel like your a student

They worked with students who received financial aid, so that was helpful at first. Parking is limited but free. The apartment itself had roaches, we didn't discover this until maybe a month it. By maybe November or December, one of the roommates found a mouse. We didn't see it again until January or February. It escaped into the hallway. We saw another mouse in April and it was found dead on the living room floor. We didn't want to remove it, and asked for maintenance. The property manager somewhat sounded like it wasn't as big of a deal to remove a dead mouse. We were scared or weirded out. The apartment operations has improved since we got a new property manager, though she was a bit aggressive at first when we had issues with paying rent. Apartment itself looked very nice when we toured it. The hallway and elevator had a weird smell and it looked slightly run down, kinda sketchy. But the apartment had nice white carpets and a "remodeled" kitchen, so it was a dream for some college students on a budget. The paint wasn't great quality, so after a few months it started looking slightly dirty. Glass door (back entrance) was broken a FEW times because the door was messed up. People with key fobs couldn't enter, so I can imagine the frustration of people especially at night. Finally they got another door that was more durable. OK experience. Gets the job done, but be aware.
