Decent
Everly on the Loop has everything you would need in an apartment. Much of the furniture and interior renovations are new and look nice. There is a relatively spacious bathroom and walk-in closet and you will probably not be left wanting for features and space. However there is something missing here. A character that I find somewhat lacking. Most people here keep to themselves and while people are polite, there is very little in the way of social community.
Unless you are very socially active outside your neighbors, this ivory tower may feel isolating. The building is generally very safe and i have not seen any thefts or robberies compared to other places near campus. There is also a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to campus on school days. The rent for a 1 bedroom is also very high compared to nearby places. Rent can be close to double compared to 1 bedrooms in other nearby locations. For some, the added security and small luxuries may be worth the price, but for me personally they are not.
If you have 1 or 2 roommates to live with and you appreciate what the building has to offer, it can be a great time and the best advantage of living here is being so close to both the Metro, busses, and the best of Delmar.

BEWARE the <2.5-micron cement particles
I moved out last year. The ceilings are unfinished cement (they claim the "builder told them it was finished"). Every day I would run my Roomba vacuum and there would be a pile of "grey dust" in it. I finally realized it was cement particles falling from the ceiling...turned my beautiful blue bed cover a steel grey. THEN I REALIZED...That stuff is falling on me while I sleep! I am breathing it in during the day and certainly at night. The <2.5 micron particles are a definite health hazard to breathe in.
Convenient location, but until they fix that problem, consider it bad for your health.

Nice amenities but $$$ college dorm vibe
The management is nice and has always been responsive. The price is incredibly high, especially for the St. Louis area. There are amenities, like a gym, but I did not find that justified the price for me. While the complex is pet friendly, it's hard to have a pet there because there is little access to green space to take them potty. The apartment is furnished and has a parking garage, which is what drew me to the complex. Parking is extra (and expensive, around $75/mo). I wish I had just gotten a moving truck to bring furniture up to STL and gotten a cheaper apartment in an area.

I Feel Like I'm Overpaying
The unit is lovely and very convenient to the school but they will be raising the rent next year and I just don't think it's worth it. It's fairly loud, and half the included utilities don't work half the time.

Pricy but generally worth it
Everly has been a great place to live. There were some early hiccups since the building was brand new and still being finished when I moved in, but it's been smooth sailing since then. Rates are going up next year, so the rent I indicated will probably be lower than what future tenants will face. Building has great security, the location is convenient for the restaurants and bars on Delmar, the shuttle takes you to two stops on WashU's campus every half hour, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are fully furnished, and they didn't cut corners by buying low-quality furniture and appliances. I won't be able to renew here as it's not sensible financially, but I think Everly was worth every penny I paid. It's also right next to the Metro, which was a draw for me, but which I have rarely used.
