My apartment is very dated as it is in a pre-war, walk-up. However the location and rent are an outstanding value for the school.

I love this part of town. It’s bustling & vibrant with heaps of restaurants, bars, cheap eats & Washington Square park which is so beautiful and so much going on - artists, musicians etc. Close to the classy & beautiful West Village on one side and the fun, young East Village on the other. Easy to get everywhere on the subway & not too far from either the Hudson River or the East River.
Close to campus, very safe area, but also very busy! Union Square can be hectic at times, with lots of people ALWAYS around. Make sure your apartment has thick windows, or doesn't face the street...
Near to multiple major grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, other various), as well as a thousand restaurants, bars and fast food places. Multiple gym chains in the area, from NYSC and Planet Fitness to Equinox. Close to all amenities, including dry cleaning and shoe repair, shopping.

Nice neighborhood. Good restaurants and bars around. They can be pretty pricey. Make sure to check the ratings to make sure you get what you pay for! We live very close to a grocery store. There are a lot of metro stations nearby and it is easy to walk to school.
I like the atmosphere of Greenwich Village (and Washington Square Park), the proximity to school, and that it doesn't have skyscrapers like other parts of town. There are always new restaurants to try and new things to do.
It's a fun neighborhood with lots to do. Everything is a few steps away. The metro is also super close by. I really like the neighborhood. The only thing is it will get loud at night.
Great location especially if you want to check out NYC's top restaurants & bars. Also close to several subway stations so commuting is pretty convenient
Extremely convenient -- Walkable to many transit lines (B/D/F/M, 6, 1, A/C/E, N/Q/R); Walkable to West Village, Soho, East Village, Union Square
Awesome food and beverage options, easy transport, good shopping, close proximity to NYU (a pro for some, a con for others).
