Nice, convenient apartment for someone who likes walkability
Comfortable, clean, limited noise issues. Basement has modest gym (cardio and weights), ample pay laundry, and bike/overflow storage. Really, really terrific Super and maintenance staff. A little expensive for me, but (1) seems like that's Hyde Park and (2) it's less than a luxury place.
I really appreciate that I can walk easily to school, Trader Joe's, and restaurants/activities. The neighborhood is nice and has always felt safe. Only a 5-minute walk to the METRA and about 10-minutes from Lake Michigan.

Great choice to be close to campus
Attended UChicago for undergrad and enjoy living in Hyde Park. This building is close to Harper Center (~8 minute walk), close to the campus gyms (~8 minute walk), and close to a bunch of local restaurants. It is also close to the 55-56-57 metra stop (~5 minute walk) for easy access to downtown.

Close to the Law School and NOT Mac
Laramer is the new property manager, so this review comes with a caveat. As 1Ls, we cannot complain about being a 15-minute walk from the law school and paying less than $800/person. There are 2 staff members and 2 maintenance staff on-site. That said, this is not the newest buildings. They are putting in a gym.

Hyde Park Reviews
I personally loved living close to campus, for access both to Harper Center and to the broader UChicago campus. I feel much more integrated with the rest of the university as a result of proximity and availability.
In short, there's enough going on in Hyde Park not to feel isolated, but it's far enough away from the city not to feel suffocated.
