Good if you have a pet, not so good if you don’t

Horrible management that doesn’t keep up with the property but we love the yard that comes with the townhouse and the pet friendly environment

Good place to live

Quiet, good amenities, haven't had a hard time with management. The complex did switch management recently so that's relatively new. I live on the Villas side, and our trash valet just got switched to every day, not just Sunday-Thursday, which is nice. I like the Fetch package service that the complex uses because I can control when packages get delivered. Lots of good spaces for dogs.

Started off great….

This apartment used to be named The Atwood. It was great under that management. Since new management has taken over I haven’t seen great improvements, their online payment center is faulty, and trash pick has been late or not picked up at all. The one positive thing I can say is that the staff is friendly! But it’s a very average place to live now. also beware: there is no elevators

Not great, but not bad either.

Most of the management is very pleasant to deal with. There have been some frustrations with maintenance and having to put in several requests before anything gets done, but so far they've taken care of all of our requests. The complex is gated and fobs are required to get into the building so in theory it's very secure, but I would say close to half of the time at least one of the gates is stuck open so anyone would be able to get into the complex. We renewed our lease for a second year which should tell you it hasn't been a bad experience per se, but it's very small and certainly on the expensive side so we won't be renewing for a third year when the time comes. The complex was recently bought out by a new management company so our experience may change either for better or for worse soon. The best thing about the complex is that it's newer and has nice appliances and is right on the SMU Express bus route.

Good location, a little pricey.

Only about a 10 minute drive (max) from campus, next to two grocery stores (central market/Tom Thumb). Good area in a gated apartment complex. Pretty quiet neighborhood.

Great experience so far

I have lived here for 4 months now and my experiences have been great. We are in the middle of a pandemic so I have had to stay at home a lot and unfortunately I haven't used many of the amenities but they all look well maintained.

Overall good!

I really enjoy my apartment complex. It's mainly young adults which is nice because you don't get the loudness of the popular undergrad complexes. It's rather lowkey and I haven't had any problems since living there. My only complaint is that parking isn't always great and sometimes you have to end up using street parking. But I will say, street parking is very easy, and there's always enough. It's located really close to a Central Market and Tom Thumb, as well as a DART station.

Good place to live

Quiet, very close to campus, pretty safe. Only issue is that parking within the complex is limited. Unit quality is really nice. Gym is nice. Pool area is pretty small but also nice. Good place to live if you want a small space to live alone.

There are a ton of shops and restaurants within walking distance which is great, but there are also a lot of homeless people and some wild stuff going on at night. My boyfriend works the night shift at 7/11 and always comes home with the craziest stories. During the day I would say I love the neighborhood.
Super close to campus and all things needed for daily living, including workout places, restaurants and grocery stores. 10-15 minute drive to bars and restaurants in downtown and uptown area, so close enough it is convenient but far enough it feels residential.
Nice, family- and pet-friendly neighborhood. Glencoe Park is right in front of the apartment complex, so there are many families, elderly people, runners, cyclists, dogs, and dog owners walking about the neighborhood. Great area!
Apartments in Old East Dallas are close enough to Uptown and Knox Henderson that you get the city vibe without the city prices. Check out Jimmy's Food Store - an Italian grocery store with THE BEST sandwiches and cannolis!
The Lower Greenville/Lakewood area is a perfect neighborhood for young families in Dallas. There are lots of outstanding restaurants and a few bars, great parks, and an outstanding school community.
Location is close to everything- easy freeway access, close to lots of great areas like Knox Henderson, Lower Greenville, Uptown. Also super close to a variety of grocery stores- love that!
The neighborhood is definitely a fun place to be as a social young person in Dallas - the proximity in the city and popular bars and restaurants can't really be beat
The surrounding areas can get a little sketchy, as it is pretty close to Mockingbird Station. However, we don’t have a problem with crime on the property itself
