Meets the needs of a medical student
I had a pretty good experience living in this apartment. I’ll start off with the cons:
- Management seems to rotate around a lot. I might be speculating but I don’t know if they treat their staff well. They are all very nice but I’m always seeing a new face. That leads to pretty poor community-building within the building.
- Very thin walls, invest in some noise canceling headphones. Bedrooms tend to run colder than the shared space.
- Not near any nightlife.
- We had one incident where several cars were broken into, they put up cameras and it hasn’t been an issue yet.
- Floors are cheap linoleum.
Pros
- Like I said, the people I interact with are generally very nice. The backdoor was broken and they fixed it within days.
- Mail room access
- In unit washer/dryer (honestly a big pro), dish washer, garbage disposal. Trash rooms on every floor and they are pretty good about clearing it out regularly.
- Near the acme (10 minute walk), near many dentists, doctors, yoga studies, etc. Just down the street from Chestnut Hill which is a really nice neighborhood. On Germantown Ave, I have access to my primary care doc, an optometrist and a dentist all within 1 mile from each other.
- One included parking space with each unit.
- Street parking is free.
The aesthetic is pretty nice - bright walls, marble-top kitchen.
- Lighting is very bright!
