Great for the location

No major complaints - heating is sufficient; walls aren't too thin; maintenance requests are usually processed within 1-2 days; good location. Of course you could get a cheaper place in another neighbourhood, but for Greenwich Village I think this price is pretty reasonable.

Do note that D'Agostino rooms tend to be smaller than Hayden Hall rooms; also room sizes within the same apartment may differ depending on which room you get assigned

D'agostino Hall

Was pleasantly surprised how large the rooms were. It's definitely all very "dorm" furniture (blue leather twin mattress, etc.) but other than that it's been very much like renting any other apartment. Doormen are all great and there are great study areas.

D'Agostino Hall Review

Very dormy, outdated, old, dirty. Friends who live in apartments in the city have much nicer places for similar rent (not in Greenwich Village, but still close, e.g. East Village)

D'Agostino Triple

Utilities aren't the best but management is usually very quick to solve any problems.
The spacing is very livable, but it's not going to be as big as Hayden. But then again, you're spending less money for it.
AC and heating is good.
The location is so convenient. The law buildings are literally less than a block away. And the surrounding scene is really fun to go out, eat, and drink. But this does mean that the area will be quite noisy.
My least favorite thing about this apartment is the bathroom because it does not have any venting, so it feels really stuffy in there and all the moisture builds up.

Well located but extremely small apartment

The apartment is very well located but extremely small. It's also old, its apparent that the administration does not invest a lot of money on it and the beds are just unacceptable. They are not even real beds becase the "mattress" is just a piece of foam. If the beds were better and the place was renewed then the price will be perfect.

So convenient

You really can't beat the convenience of the law school housing. D'ag is right across from school and Hayden is only a 5-7 minute walk. You don't have to do any apartment hunting, worry about finding roommates, or deal with a landlord. Rent money comes right out of your tuition and all the utilities are included. There is a security guard/desk attendant 24/7 and each building has its own mailroom. Maintenance staff is amazing and will come clear your shower drain within about half an hour of putting in an online request--seriously any issue with your apartment is dealt with so quickly. It's expensive but you have enough to worry about as a law student, it is worth it not to have to worry about your plumbing or the subways making you late to class.

Greenwich Village Reviews

I love this part of town. It’s bustling & vibrant with heaps of restaurants, bars, cheap eats & Washington Square park which is so beautiful and so much going on - artists, musicians etc. Close to the classy & beautiful West Village on one side and the fun, young East Village on the other. Easy to get everywhere on the subway & not too far from either the Hudson River or the East River.
Close to campus, very safe area, but also very busy! Union Square can be hectic at times, with lots of people ALWAYS around. Make sure your apartment has thick windows, or doesn't face the street...

Near to multiple major grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, other various), as well as a thousand restaurants, bars and fast food places. Multiple gym chains in the area, from NYSC and Planet Fitness to Equinox. Close to all amenities, including dry cleaning and shoe repair, shopping.
Nice neighborhood. Good restaurants and bars around. They can be pretty pricey. Make sure to check the ratings to make sure you get what you pay for! We live very close to a grocery store. There are a lot of metro stations nearby and it is easy to walk to school.
I like the atmosphere of Greenwich Village (and Washington Square Park), the proximity to school, and that it doesn't have skyscrapers like other parts of town. There are always new restaurants to try and new things to do.
It's a fun neighborhood with lots to do. Everything is a few steps away. The metro is also super close by. I really like the neighborhood. The only thing is it will get loud at night.
Great location especially if you want to check out NYC's top restaurants & bars. Also close to several subway stations so commuting is pretty convenient
Extremely convenient -- Walkable to many transit lines (B/D/F/M, 6, 1, A/C/E, N/Q/R); Walkable to West Village, Soho, East Village, Union Square
Awesome food and beverage options, easy transport, good shopping, close proximity to NYU (a pro for some, a con for others).
