Murano review

This apartment building is fabulous! Great location, about 25 minute walk from CHOP and a 10 minute bus ride (with a bus stop right outside the building). There are two staff members at the front desk at all times and everyone is very friendly. The amenities include a large gym, and indoor pool, and large common area that can be rented for gatherings. There is a parking garage attached to the building. In unit washer dryer. Pet friendly! Many residents and other healthcare professionals live here as well.

Best place to live during MBA

There’s only a handful of Wharton students in the Murano but it’s the best bang for your buck if you’re looking for a doorman, luxury building. I’m paying about what I would for a 400 square foot studio at 1919, but I have double the space and a 1 bedroom.

You can also rent out your parking space to recoup some of the rent. The going rate is about $375 per month.

The doormen know every single person who lives in the building and really do a great job of protecting the residents.

Spacious condos with amazing views

The Murano is a great place to have a spacious condo with panoramic views of the city (depending on the condo location within the building). You should not expect to have more than a handful of your classmates in the building. However, the location on Market St is central to other popular Wharton buildings such as 1919 Market, 2040 Market, and 2116 Chestnut. The fire department is right under the building which gets pretty noisy at times but not a deal breaker considering the other tradeoffs.

Centrally Located

Modern, luxury apartment tower in a central location. Seconds away from Trader Joe's and trolley line to campus, and only minutes away from Rittenhouse Square Park and 30th Street Station.

Love the Murano

The Murano is an outstanding place to live. It's a condo building so there aren't a ton of units for rent, but I got pretty lucky to find a good option with the right move-in date. It's on the higher end of options near Rittenhouse, but it is similarly priced to 2116 Chestnut and 1919 Market, but it's superior in my opinion. Nicer finishings, higher end building amenities, and right above Trader Joes.

Views

Great building with very nice and helpful management. All the apartments seem to have wonderful views. It's right next to Trader Joe's and very close walking distance to bars and restaurants. Easy to get to any of the hospitals. I work at Cooper and its a 15 minute drive in the morning a little longer in the evening.

MS1 review

Love my apartment. Living slightly north of Rittenhouse and close to the river is great. Most nights the class ends up going to bars/restaurants nearer to my house than to south street. Its a quick 10 to 15 minute walk down to south street and grad hospital on nights when social events are taking place down there. I walk to school each day (takes ~25 minutes) and live 1/2 a block from the Trolley and an Indiego bike ride. 2 blocks from the 42 bus route to school and 4 blocks from 30th street station/the LUCY buses.

Logan Square Reviews

Loved the neighborhood. Paying for monthly parking in a nearby garage was not outrageously expensive, was close to center city for fun and errand-running, Target and Whole Foods nearby made for easy groceries when I didn’t want to leave the city. Sabrina’s Cafe is nearby, which is super delicious. BSL was about an 8 minute walk to either Spring Garden or Race-Vine, depending on if I was going north or south. Great area for walking around and getting out of your apartment.
The apartment is technically between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. We live right above Trader Joe's, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. We spend a lot of time walking around Rittenhouse Square and Rittenhouse neighborhood to pick up groceries, drink coffee, and generally hang out with each other and friends. The river walk is a short walk away, and the Museum District is within walking distance. Back when I was going to school regularly, the Septa trolley stop is conveniently right in front of our apartment and the 30th Street Station is a 10 minute walk away. While the amenities leave some things to be desired and we pay a premium for our location, it is a great place to live especially for newcomers to Philadelphia who want to be next to all the action.
Unless you mind the noise of cars in the street below, you will not have any issues. Given that is center city there are many people experiencing homelessness so if that is a deal breaker I recommend other neighborhoods. The upside is being 5-10 minutes distance from all the fun, restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc.. that you will ever need.
Super close to Whole Foods and Trader Joes, and I love the walk along the parkway. It's close to various museums which is great! Overall the neighborhood is pretty residential, but there are coffee shops and to-go restaurants that are easy to access.
The neighborhood is a little more commercial but only a minute away from everything wonderful in rittenhouse. But it feels very safe at all times because it’s on a major street.
It is a great location. The law school is a 15 minute walk. Most of Center City is also within a 20 minute radius. A lot of other law students live nearby.
Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. One of the safest and nicest areas in Philly. There are generally lots of people walking around.
Close to tons of great places to eat/drink, shop, etc. Walking distance to anything in Center City/Callowhill/Art Museum areas.
