I love the apartment and living in Astoria. It is more spacious and affordable than my friends' apartments in other areas. It's an old building with charming features but unfortunately getting any type of maintenance is difficult. A lot of work needs to be done that the landlord just doesn't want to do. Although, my situation seems better than many who have even worse issues that go unfixed.

Great location that is not too far from school, and near lots of restaurants and shops. Very young and lively area.

Pros- close to the city, safe, a lot of young people. Get more bang for your buck in terms of rent, as opposed to the city.

Astoria has great restaurants and bars, and it's very family-oriented and safe. I live right next to a middle school and a park, and there are always lots of kids around. You get more space for less money, and it's a lot quieter than Manhattan!

Great food. A couple of cool bars. Not a strong nightlife scene. Safe. Could use a better park.

It’s lovely. Plenty of places to eat and activities to do around the neighborhood. It’s really safe at all times of the day.
