Good for the price
Pros:
Some of the cheapest rates we could find at the time because it's located on the East side of I25.
Close to Boondocks, the park, police station, city hall, restaurants, groceries, drive through liquor store, several dispensaries, I25, bus stops, Starbucks.
Everything in the apartment is still pretty new, and the pool has been open and clean most of the time.
Valet trash service (that they bill you for).
Cons
Thin floors. You will hear your neighbors clomp across the floor, and the people below you will hear you as well. Can't hear conversations, but definitely everything that hits the floor.
Parking is pretty bad. After complaints, they repainted the spaces to make them thinner. This makes it hard to park because the complex is a magnet for large trucks. Twice there hasn't been an available space *in the entire complex* and I had to take my chances at Boondocks. The problem is known in the area, and tow trucks circle like vultures. Keep your license plate up to date.
The drive to CU is a bummer. 15-20 minutes to 36, then 20-30 minutes on the highway. Traffic could really screw you if you're not careful. The bus from the nearest PNR would take almost 2 hours, so I drive to Boulder and park at a bus stop closer to school.
I've heard of people having problems with management, but my experiences have been good thus far.

Not Bad, Not Great
The complex is located near I-25 and a convenient RTD stop, there is also a nice park and various restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The complex itself is generally well-maintained, there is, however, an abundance of dog poop which is frustrating. The gym and pool are mediocre. The units are nice with modern finishes and we haven't had any issues with plumbing or heating. One large issue with the units are the paper-thin ceilings/floors which is obnoxious if you have anyone living above you (and for those living below you).
The worst part of living at Carrick Bend is the management. They are dismissive, inconsiderate, and generally incompetent. There is maybe one or two helpful and friendly employees working in the office, the rest have many residents counting down the days until their lease is up.
