Parkview Apartments

I have lived in this apartment for the full duration of my academic program (2 years) and I don't really like it. It meets basic needs but the property is really old and not the best place to live. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated between really hot and cool. While most neighbors are quiet, I can hear the person above me all too well (footsteps, voices, TV). There is not an efficient AC system - just wall units some of which are filled with mold. My unit is not updated so there's no dishwasher and appliances are out dated. Also, the property is located on one bus route and does not have a direct route to and from campus. Overall, the property is fine, manageable, and meets basic living needs.

Parkview Apartments is a safe, affordable place to live, especially for single tenants. It is fairly quiet and management is very nice. The complex is a little further away from campus but still walkable and located on the bus line. The complex has covered parking; however, it is not heated. Floors and walls are kind of thin as I can hear my neighbors on occasion. There's no gym or clubhouse, but there is a pool. Overall, I would recommend living closer to campus; but if affordability is what you are looking for, Parkview is a great option!

I don't hate it by any means but there are a lot of things that go wrong - mail isn't received on the weekends, packages do not appear in mail room when they say they are delivered, we put in a maintenance request about every other week for something that is broken, there is a pest problem, the apartment was filthy when we moved in despite saying they had cleaned it. However, rent and parking are cheap and being right on Lake Monona is incredible.

Simple apartment with wood floors. Have a nice view of Brittingham Bay. Heat is included in rent. Closets could be a little bigger.
