Affordable, decent housing
The low rent is the best thing about chapel towers. There aren’t many medical students that live in the complex, but it’s affordable and convenient with the LaSalle Loop bus.

Walking Distance to Sanford
This apartment is a 12min walk to Sanford which is so convenient. It is a decent size apartment with all the necessary amenities.

Many Problems
I would not recommend staying at Chapel Tower. Although it is within walking distance of campus, I have had many, many problems here. The most glaring problem was finding out that my A/C unit was full of mold. It took close to a month to fully solve the problem because management stated that they would bring people in to solve the problem and did not do so until I followed up multiple times over both phone and email. The hallways are gross, the walls are very thin, and the police are called to the complex multiple times a week.

Would not recommend
Chapel Towers is very close to school, but it very poorly run and maintained. I've had to call maintenance several times for serious issues, like having mold in my tub, and they took A WEEK to deal with the issue. Management in general is not super responsive.

Good value for money, nothing special
I know I am paying way less for a two bedroom than I would on 9th street, which I appreciate it. Sometimes I have FOMO from not being on 9th street, but sometimes I appreciate the space. My apartment is nice enough but nothing fancy. I feel like I am generally getting what I pay for. The management is incredibly slow but will generally eventually respond. I appreciate living among the neighbors who are there- mostly families and younger couples. I love being close enough to Fuqua to walk or bike in 5 minutes. I like being near the duck pond for runs. 9th street is about a 15 minute bike ride away. The gym is simple but generally clean. I occasionally find roaches, but unfortunately that seems to be the norm in NC!
