Commons West
poor management, raise prices every year, building itself not great, individual apartments vary, sometimes crime on commons in front of building and package theft

Commons West 303 Review
The apartment is very well-located, and management is responsive (except for weekends). The rooms are spacious, and there is a lot of natural light.
The property has two main problems:
1. There is plenty of noise during weekdays and weekends, especially at night.
2. The water from the shower and the sink take several minutes to drain.

Steer Clear
Management does a poor job of informing residents of elevator outages, is slow to respond to maintenance requests, and overall does a poor job at maintaining the property where I had several water leaks from the roof. Only upside is the price.

Cheap option
Really small, doable for a single person for a year. As compared to other options it was a cheaper option

Not state of the art, but pleasant, affordable, and convenient
The apartments are definitely not the prettiest or newest, and my bathtub faucet has been dripping since I moved in (apparently, they have to shut off the whole water system to fix it.) On the other hand, my studio is affordable, clean, and generally quiet, and I've got a good amount of space and a large window. Management is responsive--with the exception of the faucet, maintenance has fixed my problems quickly.
The location is its biggest selling point. It's directly on the Commons and a 2-3 minute walk from the major Commons bus stops (a godsend when you're lugging around giant law books.) Buses head to Cornell every 10-15 minutes. It's also a 15-20 minute walk on flat ground to CVS, Wegman's, Walmart, Staples, and a bunch of other useful stores.
Mostly graduate students. Doesn't allow pets. You have to pay for Internet and electricity, but it doesn't add that much cost. Overall, a good option for someone who wants convenient housing and a vibrant location without the prices/noise of Collegetown.

Comfortable, but Expensive for a town like Ithaca
Nice size for someone that lives alone and buses to/from campus on both sides of the building. Still pricey for a small town, but that appears to be the trend here.

New Apartments!
The building is now new and has a lot of options (1, 2, 3 bedrooms).
The place is good and in a good location, the apartment was delivered clean and in good shape, we have A/C, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and the kitchen. One bad point is that my apartment was located in the back of the building and we had a little bit of noise in the morning because of the garbage truck. We paid more 300$ for the Internet. Overall a good place, my only complain is the bathroom that urgently needs a renovation.

Nice appartment.
It is a large studio compared to european standards. Everything is great. Close to Green and Seneca streets where most buses stop. The only problem is that it is a little expensive.
