Great for Students, Young Professionals, and Families
Many UCLA students, undergraduate and graduate, currently live in the apartment (mixed family housing). I have lived in this apartment for almost a year and half, and I intend to stay in it for the next couple of years at least. It is most cost-effective with roommates (I live in a large 2-bedroom unit with no carpet, two balconies, and a fireplace with my sister), but I know students and young professionals in the building who are comfortable with the price range for 1-bedrooms and studios. Our unit comes with tandem parking. The best price factor consideration with this apartment is that it is rent-controlled (based on LA's public database). The best part of this location is public transportation accessibility (based on the Grad Pass)--the bus stop at the street intersection houses the Rapid 12 (direct to campus), the Culver City 3 (direct to Westfield Century City mall), the Commuter Express (direct to campus and downtown LA), and the Expo Line (using the R12 or walking; direct to downtown LA and Santa Monica). The 10 East and West are at the intersection. Starbucks and a gas station are across the street, 7-11 is next to the bus stops, restaurants are down the street. I shop at Costco Marina and 99 Ranch (using the R12) most often, but Trader Joe's is also walkable/bus-able. The apartment buildings (2) are ginormous (was supposed to be a resort but the purchase fell through, so it became an apartment complex) with two pools, a gym/sauna, and additional amenities (e.g., Saturday yoga, Wednesday food trucks, holiday treat events). Units have sturdy walls (older build, so no you're not overpaying for cheap, thin walls). Management and maintenance are very responsive, communicative, and friendly (as long as you are a reasonable tenant). If you value local management companies, Moss & Company is LA-based and reputable. If you are looking for a long-term option: because the apartment is rent-controlled, our rent at least for the last almost six months has not changed since our year lease converted to month-to-month. The only potential overall downside (not considering specific units) is its age--it is not the most updated building with old carpet in communal halls and usual "older build" features if that is something you value.

Woodcliff Apts
Overall, I liked the apartments. They have good amenities (parking, gym, sauna, clubhouse, two pools, two jacuzzis). The main issue is that if you live below someone, you can hear every single step they take so it may only be worth it if you rent a top unit which is more expensive, I was the second highest unit.

Great, safe location. Good, responsive management.
Quiet area. A few blocks from downtown Culver City with a great selection of bars and restaurants. Easily access any location on the west side. Drive to USC in 20 minutes or take the metro a few blocks away.

Its fine...
Honestly, I think the building is fine but it's too expensive for what it is. The unit does not have central air, it is old and dark (needs wayyy more windows), it comes with tandem parking which is annoying, and we've had problems with our fridge, shower, and toilets. Management will fix issues eventually but they aren't super on top of maintenance. There is nothing terrible about the unit but for what it is, I think you can find better deals for the price.

Fair place
Management is great. The apartment is a fairly good deal for the money especially since there were discounts on rent for moving in.

You will find better apts elsewhere, but this one is OK if you have no options
As the title states, it's OK if you have no other options. Rent is on the high side but my unit is OK. Building and hallway are old, but my unit was renovated.
