Townhouse in Thompson Ridge
The townhouses in Thompson Ridge are great places to rent! The neighborhood is very nice and is less than 10 minutes from Duke's medical school campus. Each townhouse is unique, but mine is beautiful and spacious.

Cheap Comfortable Living Near Duke
Super affordable living with plenty of space. Short commute to Duke Hospital, but feels incredibly detached. Excellent area for getting out into nature.

It's great!
It's a great set of townhomes. There are definitely certain things that I wish were true--basically just space and size. But it's great for our time in school.

More space, same price, no FOMO
Students pay more to be close to 9th street, mostly because of FOMO. But there are so many activities, you won't miss out on as much as you might think. Thompson Ridge is a no-brainer for families, couples, or pet owners, given that it isn't more expensive than alternatives but it's bigger. But even single folks will enjoy it--roommates can help. Pool and Fitness center. People outside all the time. Duke Forest. Quite new and in good condition. At the very least, consider moving up here for 2nd year or even at the semester break. And about the same drive to campus (biking is just as quick as driving when you factor in parking).

Thompson Ridge Review
I love Thompson Ridge. I really like all the nice trails to walk around and there are a ton of dogs in the neighborhood. It is a really lovely place almost entirely composed of grad students and young families. Very safe and nice environment.
