Great Renovated Apartment

Great apartment that was recently renovated. Love the location. Interesting mix of people living in the building. Seems to be constant renovation projects going on, which is a good thing in the long run. My only criticism is that more elevators are needed.

Belmont Tower Review

We've been there since before the renovations and it's definitely been a pain living there during renovations however, our rent wasn't raised too much due to the renovations of the building even though we have a completely rehabbed unit. Building could use a safety upgrade for sure. We always have people knocking on our door (24 floors up) trying to sell us stuff

Great Location!

Located in Lakeview East, Belmont Tower Apartments is in a very nice and safe neighborhood. There are a lot of families here. It is located very near to the Red/Brown/Purple Line and it is located very near to multiple buses, as well. The apartments themselves are okay, nothing great. The best part of the entire building is that you have access to a ($90/month) parking garage, which is a GREAT price, and if you luck out like I did, you can get a covered spot that is underground- great for Chicago winters!! Management is kind of annoying, the women in the office can be a bit frustrating. All of the staff that works there is nice, otherwise. The building is old, but it is very clean. I can't complain about it, it's my first place in the city, but I will not be re-signing my lease at the end of this year. I'd like to experience a different kind of apartment, one with more character and less old people (lol)!

Belmont Tower Wins

So affordable, new storm windows, included heat!
I enjoy incredible city views, an open floorplan great for hosting, and AMAZING closet space.

The bedrooms are equal size, and there is overnight security on weekends, plus in building management, maintenance and package reception. There is also insanely underpriced parking, probably thanks to the public housing.
The only thing missing is a dishwasher, and maybe a garbage disposal.

Lakeview Reviews

I'm technically at the intersection of Lakeview, Buena Park, and Wrigleyville so I feel like I get a mix of all three neighborhoods in my day to day. Buena Park is much more family oriented and a bit more affordable, but it is small so finding an apartment there is tricky. Lakeview is very good for young professionals and pets but is definitely pricier. Wrigleyville is even more expensive, but has good nightlife and restaurants. All three are super easy to access transit from and get to the Chicago campus.
I love how convenient the location is. There's a ton of great restaurants really close by, so many bus lines right around the corner or within a 5 minute walk, and Lincoln Park right across the street. My commute downtown is only 15 minutes and there's also a bus available to get to the brown and purple L trains. There's a Mariano's, Trader Joe's, and Target all within 10 minute walking distance so shopping is very convenient. I generally feel really safe walking in this area as the streets are busy and well lit.
Similar crowd (young professionals), close to the lake, parks nearby, safe, accessible grocery stores and shops and restaurants.
Quiet, very residential, mostly families because of the great CPS schools nearby
Lakeview is a great spot for young professionals and those looking for an active social life. The area comes alive in the summer with baseball games and is not far from beaches and great shopping and eating areas.
Lakeview has plenty of beautiful, tree-lined neighborhoods and a robust bar and restaurant scene. It is a destination neighborhood with tons of boutiques, Wrigley Field, and a welcoming environment. I chose to live here because I am gay and wanted to have very easy, direct access to the lakefront path for running and biking.
The main reason we moved here was the neighborhood. Broadway, Clark, Diversey and Belmont are all within walking distance and offer all of the shops, restaurants, bars and grocery stores you could need. It really is in a prime, unbeatable location. Not to mention it's a block from Lake Michigan and walking distance to Lincoln Park and a short bike ride from Montrose Beach.
My street and neighborhood are usually fairly quiet. Sundays seem to be the going out day in the neighborhood but it isn't disruptive to my every day life. Overall it seems like a very safe area and being a young woman living alone, that is very important. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
