Nice but expensive apartment

It is a very nice and new building with good amenities. Close to the Main Stations, and intercampus stops downstairs. However we lost our bikes (in the bike room) and thanks to the renter's insurance we can get some money back. Also rent increases a lot yearly.

High quality living at a fraction of the price

The Main is perfect for those who want a more calm and quiet atmosphere that is still close to school and has all the high-quality features and amenities. The building is perfectly located:

15 min drive to school
5 min drive or 15 min walk to Trader Joe's / Jewel Osco
Steps from the purple line, Metra, and Northwestern shuttle stop

Expensive, but great

The apartment was luxurious and parking was convenient under the building heated for an added fee. My favorite things were that it is across the street from the train station, it felt safe, and the walls were good at keeping noise out, my closet was also a massive walk in closet. The building has: a small gym, free Starbucks coffee machine and pretty terrace. Things that I would liked that they didn't offer were: lower rent, pool, hot tub, more parking closer for guests (not meters).

Awesome and cheap but a little far

The apartments are new. The price is low in comparisson to other new buildings. It is close to a shuttle station, metro station and the main supermarkets. It is 30 mins walk to the hub, so the best way to transport is by bike (12 mins) or by shuttle (free, every 30 mins). Good gym, free coffee, printer, in house washing machine, dish washer and dryer

The neighborhood has a good number of restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques, and they aren't overcrowded by undergrad students. As soon as you step a block or two away from Chicago Ave, it is quiet and residential.
This is a family-friendly neighborhood with many parks, stores, restaurants, and other small businesses. There are panhandlers in the neighborhood, but they generally don't cause many problems. The proximity to many forms of transportation is very convenient.
Quiet and convenient neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, stores, etc., including some local businesses, especially near the intersection between Chicago Ave and Main St. There are stations for Purple Line and Metra trains.
Its safe, has good restaurants nearby, the supermarkets are very close and train station is just there. The only thing against is that the bars are about 20 mins or 30 mins away
All of Evanston's grocery stores in one place - Trader Joe's, Jewel Osco, and both Whole Foods. A bit further from Kellogg but still convenient.
This was more residential than I thought, did not feel like I was living in the city at all. close to transport.
Located on Chicago Ave a little south of downtown Evanston. Directly across the street from Trader Joes and next to Jewel Osco. Starbucks across the street, plenty of small shops, dry cleaners, hardware store, bike shop, gas station, etc. Everything you need is very close by.
Great access to public transportation (CTA station, intercampus shuttle, bus), bars and restaurants (Starbucks, Union Pizza, etc), supermarkets (Jewel Osco, Trader Joes and Whole Foods all in 2 blocks). Not too close to campus, but 8 min if you ride a bike.
