Very Happy!

I don’t write reviews often but felt like it was time. My husband and I have been very happy living at the Lofts. It’s a beautiful building. We have lived here 4 years. During that time the building has always been kept clean and well maintained. We have found the management to be responsive, polite and helpful. When we have had to reach out regarding an issue management has always taken care of it quickly and fairly. Now that there are more entertainment choices at the property we may never leave!

Great Choice

My fiancée and I moved into the lofts about 4 months ago and love it. From the location, the neighbors and the staff we made a great choice.

The staff from the start as well as the maintenance and security staff are some of the nicest people we've worked with, they make it a pleasure living here.

Obviously the units are gorgeous, I think the biggest win for us is it's just cleaner here than when we lived in the loop (near Chicago Theater) and we are still in the heart of everything.

Love my Loft

I love living at Lofts at River East! My apartment is beautiful and has more space than I ever dreamed a downtown apartment would. I have my own laundry room! The location is great and there is a target inside the building, which has everything I need. The staff is always friendly and helpful!

Great Apartment and Building!

I’ve lived at the Lofts at River East now for over 2 years and love it! The building is awesome - I really like the loft look (original timbers, exposes brick, high ceilings, size of building, etc.) with modern kitchens and bathrooms. My favorite thing is my laundry room! I looked everywhere for an apartment in streeterville/river north/Gold Coast that has non-stacked washer and dryer and space to fold my clothes, Lofts at River East was the only one I could find. I feel like the apartment is a little louder than previous places I’ve lived, but it doesn’t bother me. I pay extra to be on the south-side of the building with a view and outdoor terrace. I think it’s worth it but if your more budget conscious the north side of the building is less expensive.

The building has nice amenities too! The fitness center is huge and includes free classes a couple times a week. They also just got pelotons. There is a waterfront lounge, game room, party room, movie room, and conference/computer area. The rooftop is huge and has fireplaces, grills, and a big tv with a grass lawn. No pool, which is kind of a bummer but the other items make up for it. Plus, there are restaurants, a coffee shop, and a Target in the building!

There is also an attached parking garage. You have to park on 11-15 which can be a little annoying when you’re in a rush, but you don’t ever have to go outside.

Overall, it’s not a perfect building/management company, but its my favorite place I’ve lived in Chicago so far. I would definitely recommend it!

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.
I enjoy living in Streeterville since it's near many of Chicago attractions without feeling overwhelming like in the Loop. I am able to walk around safely at night and I like going jogging in Millennium Park. My biggest complaint would be the lack of greenery in the area and how the city can feel a little bit insulating at times. Public transportation is great. This area is pricey, which is why I decided to have a roommate.
The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. Its become a great place for professionals who enjoy living downtown, but without the club crowds in River North.
There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.
While on the expensive end in Chicago, streeterville is safe, has all the necessities (look for apts near grocery stores if you don't have a car!!), is super close to school (and most feinberg students so convenient for socializing), and is super close proximity to restaurants and bars.
This building is located in the center of everything you could possibly need. Whole foods and Jewel within walking distance, easy to get to the lake front, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The only down side is that it does not really have a "neighborhoody" feel.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
